A simple introduction.

When I was growing up, we wanted to access long form content, online, that was media and image-rich. We just didn’t have the bandwidth, so we learned patience.

Now we have all the bandwidth you could ask for, and nothing long form or engaging. Tweets are short. Videos are short. Meanwhile, you get slammed with 5 ads in a single 500 word column between paragraphs. There’s a reason you feel hungry after consuming bite-sized content.

That won’t happen here. It’s all long form. Maybe it’s your cup of tea, maybe it’s not. There will not be ads because I self-host and nobody will read this anyway. Without Google’s attention, little things like this just don’t exist. At best, this will get buried on the 10th page of a results query that consists of a specific sentence fragment plus the domain.

Regardless, I’m working on some things that I want out there. I hope you enjoy at least some of it. But don’t be too critical. I don’t do this for a living, I don’t read much, and the most I know about style is the Oxford comma. Catch that? Perhaps you’re in the right place after all.
